I’ve been calling this summer “the golden summer” because I think it’s going to be the year that we check every last thing off of our summer to-do list.  I think this summer holds some wonderful things for us.

summertime: wildflowers. long walks in the evening.  100 speed film. bare feet.  festivals.  corn from roadside stands. open windows. al fresco dinners. lemonade. the smell of sunscreen. wedding invitations.  frisbee golfing. fresh-plucked tomatoes.  freckles & lemon juice in my hair.  kebabs. adventures.

I make wishes whenever I can.  On stars and birthday candles and at 11:11.  But my favorite is to wish on a dandelion.

A couple of weeks ago, the lovely & talented Amber Walsh (who photographed our wedding) did our family portraits out at Dan & Debbie’s house.  I got to see about half of them, and I should have the rest of them this weekend.  I’ll post some more then!
