{ jonathan & ann: married! }

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

What a happy day Jonathan & Ann’s wedding was!  It was such a special experience to not just see my dear friend Ann marry her best friend, but to also get to document the day.  I smile when I think of all the special details of their wedding day: Ann’s silver TOMS shoes, punchy red dahlia bouquets, [...]

{ jim & sam: married! }

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

I LOVED Jim & Samantha’s wedding – it was a photographer’s dream, really! Orange & yellow accent colors, beautiful mismatched bridesmaid dresses, a quick photo shoot on a carnival carousel, a beautiful Chinese tea ceremony and a very lively dance floor.  And most of all, I loved the sweetness I saw between Jim and Sam. [...]

{ adam & anna: married! }

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Right away I knew I would love Anna.  She loves Anthropologie, “The Notebook” and all things vintage.  My kinda girl.  She and Adam were long-distance for their entire relationship, and having experienced that myself (although definitely not as many miles apart as them), I know that when marriage means finally being together, it just makes it [...]

I’ve been a bad blogger this summer.  I’ve had quite a few weddings and shoots this summer and haven’t blogged any of them!  I’m trying to get caught up this week, so stay tuned!  (All of the photos have been posted on Loveletter Photography’s facebook page, so check that out! )

{ zombie walk columbus }

Sunday, May 15th, 2011

Yesterday, I went to a really awesome event with my friends Jason and JD – Zombie Walk Columbus!  Basically a bunch of people dress up as zombies and meet at Goodale Park, then walk up and down High Street.  There were also people dressed up as “the resistance”, and they staged some zombie shoot-outs.  I [...]

{ old worlds / the appleseed cast }

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Over the weekend, our friends’ band “Old Worlds” opened for one of my all-time favorite bands “The Appleseed Cast”… it was super exciting and an amazing show.  It was nice to drink some PBR, listen to some sweet music and hang out with friends I haven’t seen in a while.
A few natural-light photos I took [...]

{ ann & jonathan: engaged! }

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

So, Ann and I have known each other a long time.  I think  at least 6 or 7 years.  She is a long-time friend of the Frederick family, we went to Otterbein College together and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding.  I think she is amazing.
A couple of years ago, she moved to South [...]

{ roxy: expecting! }

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

Yesterday, I got together with Roxy to do my first ever maternity shoot.  Roxy’s little cupcake is due in just a couple of weeks and we did the shoot in her cupcake-themed nursery, which had some really lovely afternoon light coming in the window.   Roxy looked beautiful and happy (and she’s still wearing her [...]

{ lucy claire }

Saturday, January 15th, 2011

This morning, I had the privilege of photographing little miss Lucy Claire, the 16-day old daughter of our friends Joe & Michele.  (P.S.  I photographed their wedding back in 2008… you can view the pictures here).   Lucy was really fun and easy to photograph.  So pretty too – she might have a future career in modeling!
