{ 2012 }

eastermorning

“When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow.”
- Shauna Niequist

Upstairs is our smallest bedroom.  For most of this year, I avoided that room because it just made me sad.  It had been our junk/storage room, but eventually would be the nursery. Since we moved in, it had been filled with odds and ends and boxes of things that I needed to sort through.  I had so wished I had a reason to.  And finally I did.  And now there is a box in the middle of the floor containing a crib that Funnel needs to put together.  A dresser drawer half-filled with onesies and tiny dinosaur and robot pajamas.  An unfinished hot air balloon mobile that I am making.  A blank baby book that will be started soon.

Thank you, 2012.  Your first eight months were full of sadness.  But your last four months have been full of hope.
