{ wisp }

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Early today, I met up with my parents for lunch in the little town of Granville. We found a new, really cute little yarn shop called “Wisp” owned by a British lady.  I loved the muted tones of all the yarn she had there.  It was a really lovely little store and made me want [...]

{ date night: piada & market district}

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Last night, Funnel & I went on a long over-due date.  We’ve been in a rut of going to the same places and doing the same things, so we’ve decided to take turns planning dates for one another.  Tonight, it was my turn, so I picked dinner at Piada and then going shopping at Market District.

{ easter weekend }

Monday, April 25th, 2011

I had a good weekend.  Stayed up until 2 am on Friday night, reading Ree Drummond (aka The Pioneer Woman) ’s “Black Heels to Tractor Wheels”.  Made my birds’ nests.  Watched “Disney’s Beauty and The Beast” and “Dan in Real Life” (which is one of those movies that I can watch hundreds of times and [...]

{ easter bird nests }

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

I saw these adorable little edible bird nests the other day, and knew I wanted to make them for Easter!  It seems like birds are a trendy theme now for weddings and nurseries, so I think these would be really sweet to serve at a bridal or baby shower, or even give out as a [...]

{ on Good Friday }

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

This week I’ve felt a bit down.  Nothing major or tragic going on, just an over-all feeling of discouragement.  When I have times like this, I tend to get so caught up in my own “junk” that I  forget about the big-picture stuff:

Every dumb mistake,
every hurt that we’ve cause another person,
every selfish act,
every regret…
… was paid [...]

{ scenes from the weekend }

Monday, April 11th, 2011

It was 83 degrees in Ohio yesterday.  I wish I could have spent the entire day basking in the sun but I had a giant to-do list, so I settled for a couple of long walks (a wonderful break from folding laundry & editing photos).
Here are a few pictures from the weekend:
Friday night, Funnel and [...]

{ ann & jonathan: engaged! }

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

So, Ann and I have known each other a long time.  I think  at least 6 or 7 years.  She is a long-time friend of the Frederick family, we went to Otterbein College together and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding.  I think she is amazing.
A couple of years ago, she moved to South [...]

{ handmade hope }

Friday, April 1st, 2011

I am so excited to share this news with you – a bunch of my friends have joined together to make an Etsy shop called “Handmade Hope” with this goal: to raise money for those in need.

Every quarter, the money from our shop will be donated to different cause.  The first one we are choosing [...]
