{ Intruder: Part 1 }

I love a good mystery to solve, especially if it’s a true story. What you are about to read is a true mystery that involves me, my husband, a vacuum and an intruder. I will publish this story in several parts, for extra suspense.

. . . . . . . .

Tuesday night, I got home from my Doctor’s appointment around 5:00. Plopped my purse and jacket down on the kitchen table, checked my email, went to the kitchen to get a glass of Juicy Juice.

And then I noticed something.

Why are all of our dining room chairs and our vacuum moved to the kitchen? Oh, it looks like Funnel vaccumed our dining room! Aw, how sweet! He must have cleaned before he left for work this morning.

Then I noticed he swept the bedroom and our closet as well. I was absolutely swooning. He’s the best!

I took a quick shower, checked my facebook and my googlereader, then gave Funnel a call to see when he would be home from work and what he wanted to do for dinner. We were about to hang up, when I remembered! The vacuuming! “And thanks so much for vacuuming this morning! You’re so sweet.”

“What are you talking about?” he said. “I didn’t vacuum.”

“But the chairs were all moved! There are vacuum stripes in all the carpets.”

“I left right after you did this morning.”

“Seriously?”

Gulp.

After we hung up, I tried not to panic. Occacionally the maintenance guys have to come in to check our blinds, or look at our dishwasher.  Maybe they tracked in some mud and wanted to clean it up. That must have been it.

((to be continued)).

    The suspense is killing me!
Caleb and I were talking last night at church and this was his explanation:
*could be a burgler, with OCD. (just had to tidy up a bit, then forgot to steal stuff).
I’m thinking it may have been Funnel after all, who just forgot that he did it. he has been having excessive “dewski’s” and hours of halo with Seth.
please relieve all of our suspense!!!

this is too funny, I didn’t know you had an adventure when you left my office the other day, too weird. you seem to be handling it better than I would. I freak out at the littiest things. i do like Debbie and Caleb’s idea though. well let us know if you find anything out. talk to you soon.
