keepsakes.
I’m always looking for a fun craft project, especially in the wintertime when I want to hibernate in our apartment! The other day, on weddingbee, I saw this idea for a wedding shadow box. ((click the link for instructions.))

You take all the special momentos from your wedding… invitations, program, jewelry, loveletters… and put them in a shadow box, lined with pretty fabric or paper. It’d be pretty to display this next to a wedding photo.
I think I’m going to do it.. all of my stuff has just been sitting in a shoebox in our closet. Here are a few of the things I’ll include in mine:

Our invitation.

Vintagey earrings that went with the necklace my parents gave me.

Funnel’s bout that my mom made him.

My hankie that I had during the ceremony – I bought it at the Otterbein-owned thift store, freshman year.
I’ll post photos sometime this winter, if I find time to complete it!

Was this different from the hanky that was sticking out of your dress as you walked down the aisle?
If that happened to me, people would probably think, “There goes Sarah, stuffing her bra again. Well, her new husband’s in for a big surprise.”

@ Sarah: Nope, this is the hanky!
I used to stuff my bra with my mom’s shoulder pads!

Such a cute idea! All of my wedding stuff is in a box in the closet too. It’d look much better displayed like this…especially if I don’t end up getting my photos. It’ll be all I have.
