This is where Funnel and I are heading today: Put-in-Bay, on South Bass Island.  We’ll be there until Monday.  I have been to this little island twice before, but never at this time of year and never with Funnel. 

I’m going to be vulnerable and share with you an embarressing story about Put-in-Bay from when I was a little girl.  One summer when I was probably 6 or 7 years old, and my mom decided she wanted to take Jon and me to Put-in-Bay for the day.  I don’t remember a lot of details, but I remember I was excited and we rode this ferry called “The Jet Express” over to the island.  I was a small girl with an even smaller bladder, so by the time we go to the island, I had to PEE.  I rushed into a stall, pulled down my panties, and squatted.  The problem:  I was in such a hurry to pee, that I didnt even stop to look at the toilet.  The lid was still down!  The pee rolled off the lid and onto my underwear and shorts.  I was horrified.  Somehow I told my mom what happened, and I handed her my bottoms under the stall, and she dried them under the electric hand dryer while I waited in the stall.  Then she handed them back.  When I left the stall, I was convinced everyone knew what had happened and was silently laughing at me.

Hopefully, we won’t have a repeat of that incident this time!

Time to finish packing.  ((I think it’s impossible for me to go anywhere without at least 3 different cameras.))
