the end of summer.

I will be in Massillon for the next couple of days for my Grandpa Bob’s funeral ((who I wrote about a few blog entries ago)).  He died at the end of last week, after a long bout with Alzheimer’s.  He was a really well-known guy in Massillon.  His passing made the front page of one of the local papers and there was an article in another:
Article: ‘Doc’ Immel dies at 88.
Article:
Remembering Doc.
Obituary.

It will be good to hang out with my brother and see my extended family, who I mostly haven’t seen since my cousin’s wedding last year.  Too bad it’s under crappy circumstances.

Summer is over (not officially, but it is to me) and I’m glad.  Honestly, the last couple of months have been pretty stressful and I’m glad to put it behind me.  Funnel is about to start a new job, and fall has so much promise.

Jen, we are praying for your whole family today as you say good-bye to your Grandfather. I wish we could be there…please convey our condolences to your parents. I read the article on him and again realized what a gifted man he was. I’m sure he will be missed by many. Love to you all – Deb
