quilt-spiration: amy butler.
As I was looking for some inspiration for my quilt, I found the most amazing fabric designer: Amy Butler. Not only is her fabric gorgeous, but she has a bunch of beautiful photos on her site for inspiration, plus there are free patterns to download!
Some of her quilts:
I would like to find a place that carries her fabric lines, although I bet they’re pretty expensive. She has one collection called “Ohio Sky”:

I put together her “copper” and “mint” solid fabrics to go with the theme I posted about yesterday. The mint is a lot different than the turqoise notecard, but I think I like it:

I’ll have to play around with some different blue/turqoise/teals to figure out what will look best with the orange.

Hey! I love her fabrics too! They actually have those turquoise ones (and some pinks in the same patterns) at Rooster Quilts in Dublin… right off of 161, before you get to Dublin Road. They just got them in. If you ever want to go, I never need an excuse! We could make an outing of it and go to Teh Ku as well. They have other cute fabrics too (it’s the only place I buy fabric any more…)!
let me know, seriously, anytime!
