woollybears & last weekend.

This morning I encountered a little Woollybear Caterpillar.  I don’t really like bugs, but these little guys are so cute.

I vaguely remember my parents taking Jon and I to a Woollybear Caterpillar Festival when we were younger.  I googled it and found out it takes place in Vermilion ((near Cleveland)) every October.  I can understand festivals that are related to the harvesting of a certain crop ((like Circleville’s Pumpkin Festival)) but a Woollybear Caterpillar Festival is so random, right? I kinda want to go to it this year.

Fourth of July Weekend was fun.

Thursday night, we went to Schmidt’s ((German restaurant)) in German Village with Peab & Amy and another couple, then watched Red, White and Boom downtown.

After Red, White & Boom, we drove up to Massillon.  It was really late and I fell asleep on the drive, which made me feel kinda bad because I should have kept Funnel company.

On the fourth, we cooked out for lunch and dinner and played a few rounds of cornhole, watched “P.S. I Love You” and Mom and I made brownie cupcakes.  My parents’ development is on a hill and we could see several city’s fireworks going off simultaneously.

Saturday was Jeff & Rachel’s beautiful Cleveland-themed wedding & reception.  Didn’t take many photos, but here are a few of the wedding and us killing time before the reception:

I’m really excited that I have fun things to look forward to for the 3 weekends after this one: Cedar Point with the Frederick family, cabining in Indiana with the Immel family, and Michigan with the Frederick family!

Why can’t I ever get her to laugh like that? What did you guys say to her?

  2. Barb Says:

I know what you mean about bugs. Some bugs are ok. But others Not so ok.
For example when we were on vacation we had an encounter with some Ticks. Talk about ugly.
Can’t wait to see you in August!
