Bummer: My airport photo shoot today got canceled (the couple was flying to Las Vegas to get married and wanted me to take pictures before they left).  I’m kinda bummed… I had some fun ideas that I want to try out.
Kinda sad:  Today is my last day as a 23-years-old.
Exciting: Tommorow is my birthday!

cherry pie.

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

I attempted to make mini-cherry pies for Easter.

They looked much prettier before I baked them.  I’m not sure what to do about that.

For the longest time, I could only knit rectangles (scarves, dishclothes, etc.) but now I am almost done with my first non-rectangular creation: a baby hat!

Here are a couple of my parents’ wedding photos from their December wedding in St. Timothy’s church in Massillon.:

mint oreo truffles

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Tonight after work, I made bakerella’s mint oreo truffles.  Mine don’t look as festive as her’s, but they are pretty delicious!

They’re made from crushed double stuff mint oreos, mixed with cream cheese, all balled up and then dipped into chocolate.

voting.

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

So I voted today!  I woke up at 6 (a good hour before I usually get up) and went to our polling place, which is the elementary school across the street from our apartment complex.  I stood in line for 45 minutes.
While I was waiting, I was rooting around in my coat pocket to make [...]

I don’t really write about my faith very much on here because I know it can be a real turn-off to people. Not too long ago I wouldn’t have bothered to read a blog entry about Jesus, or if someone was talking to me about Him, I would probably have tuned them out. Even if [...]
