the 11th.
Tonight is my Sunday night. I go back and forth between being confident and scared about the (near) future. I live up to my roles well, but I might just suprise everyone. At least I hope to. I’m not going to define myself the same way that everyone else defines me. My life goals are not ambitious, but they are dear to me. I may not be much to look at or talk to, but I care about a lot of people and things, and they can be my beauty and my words. I am tired and happy, and my eyes hurt from the chlorine. Your shirt makes your eyes look green (but they are blue) & I love you so.

This post was (probably deliberately) ambiguous. Now I want to ask if you’re pregnant. Could “(near) future” refer to the next nine months? Could your “roles” include one of mother? Do these “dear life goals” include giving birth? My mind jumps to conclusions…. Sorry.
Did you like the donuts with or without sprinkles? Right now they have heart-shaped donuts, as well as heart sprinkles. It is heartwarming.

P.S. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, it brings to mind gift-giving and love and such. What would you say is the best gift Funnel ever gave you?
And how do you two celebrate Valentine’s Day? Or do you? How do you feel about the holiday?
(Look at all these great potential blog post topics! Maybe, if I was rich, I could commission you to write entries for me. That’s when you know you’ve made it as a writer—when people pay you to write for them.)

(what I mean is, they pay you even before you’ve written it)

Hey Sarah.
When people comment, I never know if I should reply back on their blog, or reply on here. One of the classic blogging dilemmas.
I’m not pregnant!! Haha. That’s funny because a few months ago, from friend Lauren thought I was pregnant because my myspace profile said “more to love” for my weight, and one of my photos was me holding a pack of diapers with a horrified look on my face! It was all just a coincidence.
I usually don’t get sprinkles, but I think I could get into that, especially if they were festive Valentines Day sprinkles.
I’ve been trying to decide on what the best gift Funnel has ever gave me, and I think it’s a toss-up between a letter listing 100 reasons why he loves me (from our first Valentine’s Day together — 2005), a fork ring he made me our first Christmas together as a promise ring, and all of the mix CD’s he’s made me( because he put so much time into picking the love songs and designing the booklets, and all of those songs have became “our songs”)
We’ve celebrated Valentines Day different every year. The first couple of years, we went out to dinner together. Last year, he had to work and we didnt have much time, so I made him a romantic dinner at home, and this year he suprised me and took me to Cherry Valley Lodge for an early Valentines present (but tonight I am making him fondue for dinner). We usually give each other cards, and small presents. It’s pretty low-key.
I really like Valentines Day and I always look forward to it. I know its cheesy and gimicky, but I think thats why I like it so much. And even the years that I wasn’t in a relationship, I really liked Valentines Day. I never was one of those bitter singles that wore black and watched zombie movies.
Are you doing anything tonight for Valentines Day/do you like the holiday?

100 reasons! I once did that for Robby, only with a different format. Using his roommate for help, I snuck into Robby’s dorm room while he was at work. I had printed out the list of 100 reasons why I’m lucky to be his girlfriend. I taped all the sheets to the inside of his wardrobe, so when he opened the door to change after work, he’d be bombarded with paper.
I also once used post-it notes for all the locations where we’d kissed, and stuck them inside his wardrobe door. Post-it notes were sprinkled all over his door, and I didn’t even include all the different locations!
Panera Bread was my Valentine’s Day dinner, and I am not complaining!
Do you listen to Regina Spektor’s new CD?
You can reply on your own blog if you like. : )
