Waltima.

The days of Waltima & Jen are at their end. He is currently being cleaned, detailed, photographed and listed on the internet by my lovely husband, and my new car, ZX-3PO, is outside of my office building, waiting for four o’clock, so that we can ride into the sunset together.

An open letter to Waltima the Altima:

Dear Waltima,

We’ve been through a lot together – speeding tickets, road-trips, dates. You’ve moved me in and out of dorms and apartments. You’ve kept me company on the drives to Cedarville and consoled me on the rides home. You’ve heard my prayers, phone conversations, and occasional profanity at people who don’t understand how to correctly merge on the 70 entrance ramp from Brice Road (it goes every other car… is it that hard, folks?). You’ve put up with my loud music, terrible singing and tendency to put a song on repeat for far too long, which might explain why you started eating my CD’s towards the end, but it’s okay. I forgive you.

Remember the time you broke down on my way to Columbus to meet everyone for Cornerstone Music Festival and we had to wait in the Mansfield Wendy’s parking lot for you to be towed?

Remember the time we hit a possum on 310, and we went back to check and see if it was okay? (it wasn’t).

Remember when we hit a mailbox and your side-view mirror came loose and was hanging by a cord?

I will never forget these memories and neither will you (I hope). Keep on keepin’ on, little silver friend.

Love,
Jen

I can empathize. my car is Charlotte. I hate driving but I’m very attached to her. I would be very sad to part with her… but congrats on ZX-3PO! may new memories, ones with less speeding tickets but more road trips, be made.
