CM: sunsets.

We watched the sunset every night we were in New Jersey, except for the night that we arrived (We never did get to see a sunrise… I think my parents did, but Funnel and I were never able to get up early enough.)

The beach where most people go to watch the sunset is called “Sunset Beach.”  This beach is on the point of Cape May and there is a sunken, concrete ship from World War I peeking out of the water.  They have a flag ceremony every evening where they play the National Anthem and ”God Bless America” and then lower the flag.  Then everyone watches the sunset and applauds once it goes down.  (the whole thing is really cute and cheesy).

Funnel and I went to a different beach one night, and no one else was there.  I thought it was prettier than Sunset Beach.  It was right next to the lighthouse and some kind of base from World War II.

Those photos are breathtaking. I am in awe of your guys’ skill! I love sunsets…and I’m always tempted to capture them on film…but somehow the picture is never quite like the actual sight. Yet you guys managed to get the coloring and the rays and everything. Sigh.

I like vacations because even after they’re over, you can reminisce about them for a long time.

    Jen,
seeing your pictures reminds me of when we were there. I just loved that beach with the what looked like a thing from Star wars. It was really neat to see all the history and of course the beautiful sunsets. I agree the sunsets were better at the second one, i can’t remember the name of it. well thanks for hanging out this weekend. it was fun. ok love ya
