Anthropologie.
One of the greatest tragedies of my personal life is that my favorite store is one that I cannot afford to shop in.

Pieces from Anthropologie are very, very pretty and whimsical and unique. I own four things from Anthropologie and all of them were bought on sale. And I am finding that even most of the stuff on sale is out of my price range.
Last night, when we were at Easton, I tried on two of their dresses and I felt very pretty in them, even though I know that I will probably never own either or them.
Here are my spring Anthropologie picks (and their prices, just to give you an idea of how expensive their stuff is):

Modernist Halter Dress, $188

Dahlia Stretch Tunic, $248

Vanilla Grass Dress, $348

Gypsophila Dress, $168

Glass Managerie Cups, $32/set

Lollipop Tumblers, $12/each

Wallpaper plates $40/set

Poppy Curtains, $198-208
If I had a really, really good excuse, I might buy one of their less expensive dresses. Nothing makes me feel prettier than wearing a lovely dress.
In the words of my father-in-law, Dan, “… one day when I’m rich and famous…”

Something I love about my husband: He likes to watch nature/animal shows as much as I do. Last night we ate Pad Thai and watched two epsidodes of BBC’s Planet Earth.
###
Tonight a bunch of us are going to a Denison Witmer show at Kenyon College’s Horn Gallery (where we saw Unwed Sailor last year).
I have so many pictures from the last few months to post. I will get around to it soon, along with the rest of our wedding photos.

I empathize. Anthropologie has to be one of my favourite WINDOW shopping stores (more like online window shopping since we don’t have one in Canada). alas, until I strike it rich, I shall only admire from afar.
I love the last dress and the menagarie cups! oh the cutest things!

Emily… if you ever get the chance to go in an anthropologie store, you will be amazed. Just going in there puts me in a good (and creative) mood.
Barb… I sent you an email just now! And I will let you know when I am rich and famous!! If it ever happens, we will do something really fun together!

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores too! Maybe if we think really hard, we can come up with a good enough excuse to go buy a dress… I love all of their coffee table books too, and their aprons! So cute!

nancy (carly’s mum) and i regularly swoon over the catalogs (which are also lovely). generally it is limited to the swooning, but this month, she bought a rug for a bathroom, and i get to look at it and sometimes even walk on it, and that makes me happy
i’ll try to sneak a photo for you, without looking like a weirdo, sometime.

The lollipop tumblers are so perky. They would make me smile each morning. And I agree, lovely dresses are one of the best things in the world.
