She said, “nobody here can live forever.”

Today, on a walk with my mom, I saw an old couple standing in their driveway, holding hands, grinning. Sometimes I envy people who are old and have lived their life. I feel like maybe everything is simpler for them because they know what has happened and they can look back on it, like a photo album. Is that a naïve way of thinking?

I would not trade where I am at for anything. But I do think it will be very nice to be old one day, with my husband, looking back at our life and how everything played out (and came together.)

I remember a conversation I had with my friend Brandon a couple of summers ago about how we can look at our life as films, and when we do that, and see the story in it (and the foreshadowing and climaxes and interesting characters) it can really change what you do and how you think day-to-day. I think most stories are worth telling and I also think that everyone has moments that are film-worthy and I smile when I think about mine.

I have a lot going on right now and I think that sometimes, people need to be reminded to be brave.

I worry too much.
And sometimes I feel complete helpless and that nothing is in my control.
And that’s okay.
Because it’s true.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” — Psalm 139:16

Eeeek. I just killed a spider with a White House 200th Anniversary Coin Set. It was crawling across the desk, and normally I would scream/get my dad, but he’s in bed. This is one of the only times in my life I have killed a spider, and my hands are still shaking.

I miss my Funnel.
And I think this movie looks fantastic.

Woah! That movie does look excellent. The male lead is the same as the actor in the motercycle diaries.

I feel the exact same way about the old people knowing how their life played out. Sometimes I wish that I could just be watching Matlock with my husband yelling, “I said, what do you want for dinner??” Nice job killing the spider. Sounds to me like you’re already being brave.

I need to start looking at my life that way again.
